Georges Saint Pierre Vs Josh Koscheck, UFC 124 for the Welterweight Title, Odds, Fight Line Up

Georges Saint Pierre's next title defense will take place on December 11th, at 10PM EST against Josh Koscheck, in St Pierre's hometown at the Montreal Bell Centre for UFC 124. This is a much anticipated rematch between the two mma fighters. Their previous fight, UFC 74, was for the number one welterweight contender position, this fight is for the UFC welterweight championship, currently held be St Pierre.

St Pierre defeated Koscheck in their previous scrap on August 25, 2007. In that fight, many people predicted Koscheck would be better on the ground because he is a 4-time Division I NCAA All-American and NCAA wrestling champion, but George Saint Pierre totally dominated him on the ground; St Pierre was on top for most of the fight and stopped every one of Koscheck's takedown attempts.

The fighters have been opposing coaches on the 12th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" and the title bout will serve as the end of the season showdown of the coaches that follows the end of the TV show. All through the show, Koscheck poked and prodded St Pierre with rude remarks and trash talk.

"I'm so happy that I get to fight Josh Koscheck in front of my home crowd," St-Pierre said. "He was very disrespectful during the filming of The Ultimate Fighter and I didn't say a word. Now on December 11, I get to answer back with my fists. Last time I fought in Montreal, it was so loud the Octagon was shaking. I know the crowd will be even louder for this fight."

Since their last fight, Koscheck is 6-2 and has earned victories over Anthony Johnson, Dustin Hazelett, Chris Lytle and Paul Daley. His only 2 defeats in that span have come at the hands of Brazilian fighters Paulo Thiago and previous number one contender Thiago Alves, who St Pierre also beat in UFC 100.

"I'm excited about the fight," Koscheck said. "It's a big rematch for me and in life you don't get second chances that often so I plan on taking advantage of this second chance. I am training every aspect of the game and can't wait to go fight in December and bring that belt back to the States. I will put on a show like I always do."

George St Pierre is currently riding a seven-fight win streak beating UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, Jon Fitch, Matt Serra, Thiago Alves, Dan Hardy and Koscheck. Koscheck is a 3-1 underdog going in to this fight.
